Those remasters sound interesting. I know a lot of people have a soft spot for the series.
I'm not entirely surprised that Toonami is breaking this one out again. They have aired remastered versions of other shows from their older lineups, and this is one that they helped produce, so it fits with the current trend of Toonami originals. |

I think I'll watch a few episodes and if I like it I'll buy the up coming Discotek Blu-ray. The Toonami feed always tiles on some stuff with the JoJo anime OP and fast action stuff being examples.

Wow, that's a nice surprise but then again this is the same Toonami/Adult Swim that is doing the Checkered Past block which seem to be doing well. Which makes me wonder what other past anime are they going to "re-broadcast" in light of Checkered Past and the remastered IGPX?

At first it seemed like they were only airing the first two episodes but it looks like they’re showing more so are they actually done with the remaster?

Likely not many, unfortunately. It's been a while since Toonami aired an older series or much of anything like what the lineup used to be like, likely because of how their budget's been screwed around by WBD. This one was easier to get since it's a Toonami co-production and they already were working with Discotek on materials for their BD. |

I imagine it's directly through Production IG, since Cartoon Network/Warner wrote the show off the accounting books years ago.
