It's interesting that this manga has gone on as long as it has. I'll have to binge-read it at some point and compare it to my childhood lol.
With CCS's manga ending, there's always hope CLAMP will resume work on any of their other hiatus manga.

Anyone who's caught up to the Japanese chapters? I'm a few volumes behind. Does it feel like the ending is being rushed or does it feel like it was already headed toward one more chapter for a conclusion? CLAMP likes to push things until the magazines force them to stop, so I'm worried that's what's going on here (especially with the sudden announcement), but it'd be nice to know if I'm worried for nothing.

The latest chapter literally finished the climatic action scene, so I’d say it feels about over. And for what it’s worth, they confirmed that xxxHolic would be returning in 2024 months ago.

I'm about 3 chapters behind and I feel like it's the opposite, it feels like it keeps going when it could have ended earlier. I think they were given a lot of freedom considering they extended the ending from volume 14 to 16.

Did they ever put the Clear Card manga arc up on the K Manga app after they pulled the English digital release from most manga apps? Sad to see one of my all time favorite manga ending again but it getting a sequel was a surprise to me. I'll miss Sakura and all her friends. I'm glad XXXHolic is coming back but I hope CLAMP will also one day continue Tsubasa World Chronicle.

Hopefully now the can finally focus on their several incomplete manga like X/1999 instead of ignoring them like it's cute or something.

Pretty sure there are valid reasons for them not finishing those mangas not because they’re doing it for shits and giggles.

I gave up on CLAMP a long time ago, but when Drug & Drop went on hiatus it felt like they were close to the climax, so hopefully they finish up their pet projects (this one and Xxxholic) and end Drug & Drop. At this point I don’t even care if it’s a $hit ending, as long as there is some conclusion to all the lose ends they still have hanging on that story.
I’m not holding my breath for a conclusion for X, but again, it was cut off in such a cliffhanger that if they just made a half-@ssed ending to kinda tie up lose ends it would be nice. Heck, one chapter just to tell us who lived and who died. They don’t even need to be graphic, cus honestly I don’t think they are ever going back to properly end it even if their supposed ending they have in mind wasn’t controversial.
