I'm cautiously optimistic about this, the premise suits anime as a visual medium. Not saying they can't botch it, just a little hopeful...

I mean, why not?

John Wick is one of the coolest modern action franchises, and it has a potential for entertaining anime as well.

Just...
Don't do crossover with Lycoris Recoil.

I recently came across John Wick x Lycoris Recoil fan art which seemed curiously apt.

spoiler[The ending of the final John Wick movie made me think a lot about Cowboy Bebop, for that matter.]

How about a crossover with Sakamoto Days?

It could definitely work, if some love and care is put into it.

It's probably the best way to do a prequel story about Wick, since Keanu isn't getting any younger and several of the actors passed away.

I wonder if they'll get Keanu back to voice the character?

Except we didn’t have any ambiguity.

In the end, yeah, but as the scene was unfolding in the John Wick conclusion, I kept thinking about spoiler[Spike on the stairs. Also, a little about the earlier fight in the cathedral on Mars.]

I actually never watched any of the John Wick movies, I've heard they're pretty good and I think I remember hearing Keanu Reeves mentioning he enjoyed anime like Cowboy Bebop, I think that would be a good anime to use as a reference to make an adaptation into anime

I don't know about this one. Sure, the first three films were fine. But everything went beyond the already over the top premise in the fourth film. I loved the nods and references to older genre flicks, but I don't see what this anime could eventually contribute to the story.

I don’t know why but that scene was in my head just a couple of days ago.

Mostly because the somewhat ass pully aspect of Spike getting pushed out of window to his death and under unknown circumstances surviving.

A little more research and it turns out the John Wick x Lycoris Recoil fan art is actually a doujinshi by Takeshi Kogami (person#87997)
