I was hoping for a review of this one!
I've always been a fan of the horror anthology books aimed at kids/young adults and have a collection of them (though I'm not one to remember many authors names). One of my favourite authors is Catherine Jinks, who writes books (including horror stories) for younger audiences that are also very enjoyable for adults. (I'm also a fan of anthology manga, and a lot of them are aimed at teens, with a big focus on teen girl readers).
It's nice to hear this book is overall not bad. It's definitely nice to get more Japanese horror in English, and exposing kids to the world of JP horror in a more supervised way sounds good to me!
I might buy this one depending on the price, but even if I don't, just know it's out there is happy news.

I just picked up the first Bogle book, thank you for the author rec! It's always interesting to see what authors make it into other countries' libraries (and then what books of theirs). Mary Downing Hahn is really the go-to for middle grade and elementary horror books in at least my state - Wait Till Helen Comes and The Old Willis Place are both worth hunting down.

As for price, the list price is cheaper than a volume of manga or a light novel for older readers - about 8 USD. It may be cheaper still in digital form.

No problem, I hope you enjoy it! It's a very interesting series with some great concepts.
I'm not sure how available her books are since some are a bit older but the Eglantine series (I'm not sure of the proper name for the series but that's the first book) was also really good. She's an Australian author and those books were set around real locations in Australia. I actually visited the place one of them is set at because of the books! (Having met her once, she's also a lovely person!)

I looked up Mary Downing Hahn and I can't say I've heard of her before, which seems like a shame! I'll definitely have to go check her out.

I don't think I have much room for books I can't be 100% sure I'd like (sob) so I might buy this one digital some time!
