Checked the public school (england) wikipedia page

"In England and Wales, a public school is a type of fee-charging private school originally for older boys. They are "public" in the sense of being open to pupils irrespective of locality, denomination or paternal trade or profession, nor are they run for the profit of a private owner."

Yes, speaking from the British side, ‘public school’ having almost exactly the opposite connotations in UK and American English can cause the occasional context clash.

Looks like ‘Boarding School’ might be a more neutral-English rendering of 寄宿 in the Japanese title, but owing to the setting they’ve gone with the British term instead.

Your Grasshopper bit made me curious. As someone whose body can’t break down alcohol well, I find the mixing of and creation of drinks fascinating from a culinary and scientific perspective—it’s a pipe dream of mine to recreate alcoholic flavors using nonalcoholic means, just for the fun of it.

In any case, this seems to be any issue of regional adaptations. The Midwest seems to be an area where the chilled cream in traditional Grasshoppers is swapped out for ice cream. So technically, you’re both right.

I keep hearing about Kaiju being different because of the protagonist's age but.... is there something else that makes it stand out? The other character mentioned already fits the formula we often see.

Astron Note is literally reboot of Maison Ikkoku with a few slight detail change.

Excited to finally see Kaiju No.8 when it starts. Glad the dub is starting at the same time too.
