I wonder if this means Macross Ace magazine is losing Macross The First? If so then Macross Ace is as good as folded - which would make me very sad indeed.

I was thinking the same, but it makes sense - it's a niche magazine and the Macross 'boom' as such that it was created for is drawing to a close when the final Macross Frontier movie gets a home release presumably later this year.

Honestly, I think it's good news. Macross The First is fantastic and it securing a place to continue is a good thing.

Well yes and no. With the 30th anniversary next year I expected them to keep it going for another 18 months or so at least. Stopping Macross Ace now seems a little odd - the next bluray release will keep the hype going for a little longer this year too.

Last Exile got a sequel? I can't imagine it would have much to do with the previous one besides the setting. Hopefully the dubbing of the new show will be as top notch as the old one, the English version of Dio sounded like Micheal Jackson in his creeper years and now I can't ever separate the two anymore.
