I wonder if any of this has anything to do with Bandai Ent. putting the movie on Hulu last month. I know they aren't doing anything new, but maybe just in honor of/capitalizing on its anniversary…

I wouldn't say underrated, more like under-appreciated. I just think its not that widely seen, but almost everyone I know who has seen it loves it. |
