So does this mean its coming to an abrupt ending or is it ending on queue to the author's intent? I haven't been reading Claymore for awhile, but anyone know the answer, based on what they've read of the series so far?

The ending is very abrupt, but it ends at an appropriate place. Imagine if Naruto ended pre-timeskip. That sort of thing.

Huh? What the heck happend? I've beena few months behind on recent chapters, but it looked to me like any kind of conclusion was still quite a ways away.

The little blurb by Yagi about spicy noodles gives me the impression that he's candidly saying he's sick or something. If so, I hope he gets better

That's rather abrupt. I thought that it'd at least get to a nice, neat twenty five volumes. Perhaps Norihiro Yagi is sick or perhaps at eleven years he's just sick of writing and drawing the same story.

I hope that the last panel was the entire cast getting backed over by a dump truck. That'd be an awesome ending.

Oh My God. I'm numb. I can't feel anything. Why is this happening! Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ugh. Though I am not at the ending yet I felt from where I was at that it was still a long ways off. I really thought this series was going to have a nice long, epic life to it like how people treat Berserk. I really hope that the ending is good, and if it is unsatisfying, I really hope that it is something to do with the author. If he is unhealthy I completely understand. I just hope that it isn't a case where he just got bored of it and wanted to start a new series.

There is always the "I've been hiding my family of five from the public for years now and have decided to spend more time with them now" possibility too.

Don't know about Naruto.

Abrupt endings are not good. They are called abrupt for a reason.

I was hoping Claymore would end soon. But not like this. There's probably half a dozen "but what happened to..." questions you could ask and it's rather annoying. I'll definitely finish out my collection as they become available, but yea, I'm annoyed...

Well this kind of stinks. I was hoping Claymore would get a proper ending, dag nab it why do some of the best comics & manga always get the abrupt ending instead! Oh well its still a great series & i will buy the remaining volumes as they come stateside.

What a coincidence. I actually just made the decision to invest in the rest of the series by purchasing volumes 7-9 at Half Price Books today thinking to myself, "Hm.. I'm hope he won't make an ungodly amount of volumes or take for freaking ever to finish the story." And now I read this. Good news for me, even if the ending will be abrupt. I hate to invest in franchises that seemingly have no ends in the foreseeable future.

To put the ending into perspective, if you've read Mx0, it's worse than that. I didn't even realize it was supposed to be an ending of any sort until I read this article...

um....WHYYYYY??? The main character doesn't even get a sendoff? What the heck happened? There were so many unexplained questions that this just doesn't make sense. It almost feels like Yagi the editorial mandate shaft or something and had to cut off the series. This leaves a pretty bad taste in my mouth

Please dont say that!!! I'm still waiting for that manga to come back! I loved it and it never got a chance to go anywhere when it was getting very interesting.

Claymore hasn't event gone anywhere yet... They just found the truth out of the other lands and why they were created and the truth about yoma, but its ending?! Claire and Rocky haven't even met yet! This is a disaster... I thought if anything, the story was about to start getting interesting again. I hope they are making a Claymore part 2 or something. Rushed endings suck. I figured it would take a few chap to get Claire out of that monster, her to meet Rocky and them to figure out of plan on what they do next and travel together.

No kidding, and Yagi even did that side chapter showing how Duff, Isley, and Rigaldo met. He seemed to be doing fine and there weren't any signs of editors breathing down his neck. This is just bizarre.
