That's a phrase that's been used before, and no doubt will be used again when somebody dreams up something even wackier. But for now these folks take the cake. Maybe the headphones will be pretty good anyway.
Can't complain about a good laugh.

Xonar Essence STR with Shure SRH 840. Real audio gear and a professional headset. I doubt these Moe Headphones are even close to the SRH 440.

Do you really need a guidebook for headphones? I mean just look up reviews on cnet and you're pretty much set. Also Beats are stupidly over-rated and over-priced. They're just a well-marketed status symbol.

I would love to see a comic featuring Dr. Dre though. "Dre-san Kawaii Desu!" "What the fudge are you wearing bitch? How old are you suppose to be?"

The kickstarter isn't about making or officially marketing headphones. The kickstarter is a doujinshi book with headphones drawn on moe characters.

The headphones already exist. They could've just as well used Shure headphones. In fact the book already includes headphones in the same class:
- Sony MDR-1RBT
- AKG Q701 (which is superior to the Shure 840s)
