Look alright I suppose. I hope this series lives up to the hype for the Summer!

Its sort of an interesting choice for the character designs, particularly considering what else the designer has worked on. Not exactly very action oriented stuff. Otherwise I think this has a lot of potential. The advertising campaign hasn't done much but I am sure Urobuchi has something in mind to make this much more than your typical Mecha.

FY1, the "ALDNOAH.ZERO Trailer 2" you can see YouTube, about 1:14 in. the narrator mentions the Greek word kataphraktos.

From its Wikipedia entry:
Quote:
A cataphract was a form of armored heavy cavalry used in ancient warfare by a number of peoples in Western Eurasia and the Eurasian Steppe.

I find it interesting that though the Greek spelling is seen in the subs, he says it as kataphracto or however you technically write it from I guess is Romaji.

Because I'm not sure whether or not I had heard of this word before, I think that I can say that I learned a new word through an anime trailer.

Nothings really getting me hyped for this show. Still will be checking it out.

And, sorry if I missed it, but any ideas on how many episodes this one will be getting?

While I haven't seen any place that has yet confirmed the episode count, for TV (since it might get an OVA/movie) episodes, I'd guess the standard 12-3 or 24-6 count.[/spoiler]

So, still unknown. I only ask because, with the apparent political slant this series may have, 12 episodes sounds like it may not be long enough. Of course, no idea how much focus that will really have.

There's just something about this series that has me thinking that 12 episodes may make it seem too rushed.
