In other words, this rendition will actually have a localization process. Not a no budget release that got slapped together as quickly as possible. This is great news, hollow fragment is a really fun game.

Why not actually make a mmorpg based in aincrad? Freemium game. If successful, it can bring in a whole lot more income than releasing as a single standalone titles.

If successful,

MMORPG's are expensive and risky. A SAO MMO would have a better shot than most, but it's not exactly flourishing market, is it?

Japan has so few MMOs, they'd already have an advantage of being well-known and story scenarios already laid out.

Yeah, I suppose saying, "We didn't take the localization process seriously last time," would be worse than making vague statements about problems that can't be discussed.

The MMO Mabinogi recently had a collaboration with SAO offering costumes of Asuna and Kirito, as well as a little Yui Fairy for a limited time. No idea if the costumes are still available or not.
