Are those good numbers for Nozaki-kun? They seem good, but it's still under 10,000

So happy to see Nozaki-kun making decent looking numbers. Really enjoyed that series, and have hopes more anime would be made, but I'm pleasantly surprised with how well it is doing compared to a lot of the stuff I've gravitated towards.

Most things I enjoy do lower numbers than what Nozaki-kun is doing.

Add in its DVD sales and it's 9,582, so I imagine it will hit 10k.

Going above 10,000 first week is pretty rare nowadays so those are pretty solid numbers. Love Live! is an outlier that makes everything else seem lower than it is.

It'd be nice if such figures were done more often for the American anime BD sales.

Even for the first week, I expected FMA to do better. Or have even Japanese fans also turned into anti-anything-that-isn't-FMA-Brotherhood-asses too?

I bought a copy of the Love Live volume 5

I like nozaki-kun but I think more people will buy it when it's on sale

I am surprised frozen is still #4 on the chart
people talk alot a smack about western anime but fronzen has sold more than everything else combined for the entire year

That is good news for my Nozaki loving and sequel desiring heart.

Drop of 18.63% (11.79% drop on BD, 31.25% drop on DVD) from Vol.1 Week 1 sales. ~9.5k is pretty good, as Vol.1 is nearly always the highest selling volume for anime, unless there is an event ticket to reduce the drop on future volumes.

Only reason Frozen has these numbers in Japan is that it is so mainstream. Anime is a niche market, so you will never see such numbers unless you are Evangelion. Top 10 anime movies in terms of BD+DVD sales, see how mainstream Evangelion, One Piece and Gundam is? Madoka being there is impressive, as it is so popular even if it is a late-night anime.
