If it's anywhere near as bad an adaptation as the DR1 anime then I can happily live without one. Some parts might be fun to see, but I've basically given up on games ever getting decent anime adaptations unless they're Key visual novels or Steins;Gate.

I'd be fine either way. I agree that the anime adaptation paled in comparison (as seems to be the case with most game to anime series), but why tease us with Monomi at the end of episode 13?
To be honest, I'm more interested in whether we get this game in the West at this point than whether we get a second season. I loved the previous installments. :3

Guess I'm in the minority who enjoyed the anime. Probably because I didn't play the game.

Same here, but I did see some of it through LPs.

The main failure of the Danganronpa anime was that it tried to compress the entire story into just 13 episodes. An SDR2 anime adaptation would suffer even more if they tried compressing that one. Even if they're generous enough to give an SDR2 anime adaptation a full 24-26 episode run, there's still a whole lot of other things that can go wrong in the execution (pun somewhat intended). Then there's the issue of the English dub, given that Funimation has the rights to the first anime; sure, they can easily get JYB, Bryce Papenbrook, Kyle Hebert, Todd Haberkorn, and Patrick Seitz to reprise their roles, but where will that leave Christine Cabanos, Steve Prince, Chris Tergliafera, and the rest of the cast?

I actually played the game, and it got a large amount of info into 13 episodes, and I really thought it was a pretty good anime. It's impossible to be completely faithful to the source material. Sure, I'm a little sad some of the social events weren't added, but things happen. Danganronpa was still a pretty good and fun anime, in my opinion.

Oh, I'm not saying I didn't like it. It did good at highlighting the cases (which seemed to be their objective), but my chief issue is that it'd have been nice to have more character development along with the cases. I liked the anime enough that I still plan to buy it, though.
As for the comic, I'd be interested in it and it'll be interesting to find out what they'd focus on. As well as what other projects will be yielded over the Danganronpa series in general. Be it a regular or one-shot (which it almost would have to be) thing.
