Not only has Hinata won Naruto, she has also been doing well on the music sales. While I don't follow the Nanoha franchise, I don't get why she might be more famous for that than being in Shippuden.

Because Fate is her Star-Making Role. Hinata is not her most famous role in Japan, it's Fate Testarossa-Harlaown. She wasn't famous back then, she got only some attention with Hinata, but Fate sky-rocketed her popularity. The Nanoha franchise had the strongest impact to her music career, and she eventually found the style of her success thanks to the Nanoha franchise. You can see there is a big shift in her music style in 2007, as she figured out that her songs should sound more like SECRET AMBITION, and it worked.

The Nanoha franchise itself is one of the most popular Magical Girl franchises in Japan, due to its original premise of the genre. Instead using magic and love to save the world from evil, beat the criminals like crap with your mecha-like laser powers and force them into friendship. (I'm exaggerating, but it's how the fans view the series). Furthermore, FateXNanoha is one of most famous yuri shippings, with a daughter to boot. Fate herself is extremely popular by the fans, because she's cool, she's THE woobie and she's moe even as an adult (and sexy as an adult). And of course, axes, scythes, swords and lightsabers are cool weapons.

I feel like I should be worried that the Symphogear singles aren't selling as well compared to season 2, then again they released at a shit time considering Love Live is dominating the charts still.

There are still the DVD and Blu-rays. Also, Symphogear is a stealth Nana Mizuki show. It's basically a hidden "Nana Mizuki and co." with Tsubasa hiding behind Hibiki to make it not that obvious (I'm more or less kidding).

It's always worth getting along to a Nana Mizuki live solo show (ie her with band or orchestra) or when she's appeared at Animelo Summer Live.

I much prefer Nana as a singer than a voice actresses, while she's does good in both, she strongest in the singing department her memorable roles to me was voicing Aria in Sister Princess, Ricotta in Dog Days, and Tsubasa in Symphogear.

You don't get why having a tiny part in a massive mega series might not do as much for her personally as being the co-star in what is still a rather popular franchise? Granted Hinata might be getting a bit more attention now given the ending pairing, but at the time when Nanoha made her a big hit, Hinata was an incredibly minor side character.

Congratulations to Nana/Fate-san for reaching the No. 3 slot in the ranking. Smile Nana Mizuki's singing prowess is unmatchable without a doubt.

I don't really follow Nanoha and thus this was why I was asking. The reason is because I am not really into the BL/GL stuff. When it comes to fan service, I prefer the "straight fan service".

True, I think the pre-order sales were looking really good and it might hit 20k again. At least the first vol will do well, full ver of Radiant force on it is worth it.

The GL stuff is actually "subtle", and not part of the main premise. Official, they aren't a couple, and there a some fans who still deny that they are together. The main premise is catching the criminals for an entire season by shooting/beating them down to "near death" and "force" them to your side. (I'm exaggerating)
Fate is the most prominent woobie character of the franchise, and the first season spends the majority of the time to explore her sad life and how to get her befriended by the titular character, also known as the White Devil. Parts of the second and third seasons still tie to her past, making sure that you won't forget how sad her life was (so do the games).
