It's based off of the second game in the franchise, while the first series was based off of the first game. They share the same world and the story sounds similar, but it is an all new work. Technically a sequel, but, from what I've heard, it doesn't really rely on the previous game/show for much at all. |

I will not expect much from this despite impressive visuals. All the anime listed here are mediocre. And then there is School Day.

White Fox has managed to not only retain the overall aesthetics of the 2006 show, but improve it so that feels like a natural progression to the 2006 being make with today's techniques.
I also liked the song used in the PV. |
