At least they're aware of this issue and are fixing it. That's a plus.

VIZ is really having issues with these blu-ray releases. I really hope they don't mess up the Death Note blu ray set next year. But my confidence in that continues to drop when I hear about their issues with the Sailor Moon releases.

I'm just satisfied that they detected the issue and trying to fix it. That's a positive step on Viz's part.

Actually, they were informed of the issue on their Hulu stream by someone back in February. It was corrected there.

Viz's entire Sailor Moon release has been a huge disaster from start to finish, aside from the better English dub.

They outright lied about the quality of the video they had for their release and now they have additional problems? Viz never should have been trusted with this franchise. They clearly can't handle it. They should do the right thing and release the license and let a company that knows what it's doing pick it up.

The anime side of Viz is kind of a garbage heap.

Always something that makes me hesitant to pick up their DVDs. Sailor Moon deserves better treatment. Good they are fixing it, but hope this doesn't continue to be a tread for the rest of the seasons.

@ Asrialys:

Interesting. When the same episode was being temporarily streamed dubbed, I didn't see that issue (not from what I can recall anyway). I wonder how this even happened?

The wording is a tad ambiguous - is it just the DVD disc that has the issue, or does the corresponding Blu-Ray disc have it too?

Good thing I didn't get the DVD set yet, I don't live in the US so I doubt I'd be able to get a replacement disc.

I'm not sure what's ambiguous about it? It clearly says it's effecting both the DVD and BD release.

Unfortunately, yet another f*** up from Viz is not news anymore. I demand that they send me a disc replacement free or charge.

And once again, I hope Viz stops distributing anime discs because they apparently suck at it. Thank god I am not a die hard fan of One-Punch Man.
