Man Arrested for Uploading xxxHOLiC Anime via Share

The Shiga Prefecture Police's Consumer and Environmental Protection Division arrested 37-year-old male company employee Teiji Ōshima on Friday on suspicion of using the file-sharing software Share to distribute the xxxHOLiC television anime. The resident of Kobe City's Tarumi ward allegedly admitted to the charges.
The suspect allegedly used Share on his personal computer to upload xxxHOLiC and two other works onto the Internet between November and December without TBS and other copyright holders' permission. Police are also investigating whether Ōshima previously uploaded more than 1,000 other works without permission.
Security researchers have known about flaws in Share's anonymity features since 2006.
