Level-5's Otome Yūsha Smartphone Game Delayed to Summer

posted on by Rai Kelly

Level-5 announced on Monday that it is delaying the release of its Otome Yūsha (Otomé HERO) smartphone game to summer 2017. The company began streaming an updated promotional video on Tuesday that has the same content as the first promotional video but reveals the updated release window.

Level-5 planned to release the game for iOS and Android devices in Japan last winter. However, the company later revised its release window to this spring.

The game will feature 24 male Slayer characters that players can both use in battle and develop relationships with. Chinatsu Kurahana (Uta no Prince Sama, Aquarion Evol, Samurai Flamenco) is designing the characters. The game will be free to play, but in-game items will cost extra. Fairy Tail Brave Saga developer h.a.n.d. is developing the game.

The franchise will also feature an anime and manga.

Level-5 confirmed via press release that "there is no plan to release [the game] outside of Japan as of yet."
