Promotional video for studio's "K-ON! Singing!" super-deformed figure line

Kyoto Animation began streaming a 25-second stop-motion figure promotional video on Thursday for its upcoming line of super-deformed figures for the K-ON! anime film. The "K-ON! Singing! Series" of figures refers to the film's ending theme song "Singing!" by voice actress Yōko Hikasa. (Note: the below video has no sound.)

The video introduces the addition of the figure for the character Azusa Nakano. Pre-orders for the Azusa figure will go on sale on Friday at 6:30 p.m. in Japan.

The company streamed previous stop-motion videos in March and April. The figure line already features figures for the characters Tsumugi Kotobuki, Mio Akiyama, Ritsu Tainaka, and Yui Hirasawa. The Yui figure will ship in August, the Ritsu figure will ship in September, the Mio figure will ship in October, and the Tsumugi figure will ship in November. Pre-orders are currently available for the Mio and Tsumugi figures.

The poseable figures are 10 centimeters (4 inches) tall. The Yui figure costs 4,000 yen (about US$49), and the Ritsu, Mio, and Tsumugi figures cost 3,500 yen (about US$43).

Update: In the "Singing!" theme song, Mio (Yōko Hikasa) is the main vocalist. Thanks, Goggen.
