King Cream Soda's 2nd opening theme ranks at #2

Teen band Dream5, which has performed the first two ending themes for the Yōkai Watch television anime, is the first teen band in 40 years to have a single rank at #1 on Oricon's weekly singles chart. The band released its single for the Yōkai Watch second ending theme "Dan Dan Dubi Super!" on October 29, and the single topped Oricon's weekly singles chart in its first week. The single sold 66,000 copies in its first five days.

Additionally, the single for King Cream Soda's second opening theme song for Yōkai Watch, "Matsuri Hayashi de Geragerapō/Hatsukoi Dōge de Geragerapō," debuted at #2 on the same rankings chart with 62,000 copies sold in the first five days. The band's single for the first opening theme jumped from #37 to #26 on the same rankings chart, selling 127,000 copies to date. The band originally released the single for the first opening theme song in April.

The five-member group Dream5 released its debut CD in November 2009. The band's previous highest-ranking single was "We Are Dreamer," which the band released in August 2013 and which ranked at #7.

The previous and only other teen band to have a #1 ranking single was Finger 5 in 1974 with the song "Koi no Dial 6700."
