Saikano's Shin Takahashi Ends Yuki ni Tsubasa Haru Manga in February

Author began sequel to story of delinquent esper, mute girl in remote town earlier this year

Shin Takahashi announced on Twitter on Thursday that he has completed the rough draft for the final chapter of his Yuki ni Tsubasa Haru (Wings in Snow - Spring, or Yuki & Tsubasa - Spring) manga, and the chapter will be published in February. Takahashi mentioned that he was able to write the ending he wanted, and thanked fans for cheering him on.

Yuki ni Tsubasa Haru is a sequel to his 2011 manga, Yuki ni Tsubasa. The original manga revolves around Tsubasa, a delinquent boy living in a remote Japanese town who is in fact an esper, able to read thoughts and use telekinesis. He ends up meeting a mute girl named Yuki, and rescues her from violent delinquents by controlling her body with his powers to beat them up.

Takahashi began the manga in Kodansha's Young Magazine earlier this year. The company is shipping the fourth compiled volume in Japan in December.

Takahashi's Saikano science-fiction manga inspired a 2002 television anime series, a 2005 original video anime project, and a 2006 live-action film. Viz released the manga and the anime in North America.
