Idoling!!! Idol Group to Break Up in October

The Idoling!!! female idol group announced on Friday that they will break up this October. The group's Idoling!!! variety television program will conclude on the Fuji TV network in September.
According to sources connected with the group, the decision for the group to break up was made during management meetings that have been taking place since last month.
The idol group debuted in October 2006 with nine members, and their television program premiered the same month. The group released their first single CD in July 2007. The idols collaborated with the AKB48 idol group in 2009 to form the special AKB Idoling!!! group and release the "Chū Shiyoze!" single CD.
In the variety television program, the idols participate in various segments and challenges while the comedian Bakarhythm leads them as MC. New episodes currently premiere on the CS Fuji TV One channel every Friday at 2:00 a.m.
The idol group currently has 21 active members. The 13th member Serina Nagano announced in December that she will graduate from the group on March 28.
Idoling!!! performed the second opening and eighth ending theme song for the Fairy Tail anime, and the fourth ending theme song for Katekyo Hitman Reborn!
