Ushiro kara Hai Yori Tai G, RAMM to perform new theme songs

The official website for the Haiyore! Nyaruko-san F original video anime (OVA) project announced on Monday that the project will get a theatrical screening in Japan starting on May 30. The theatrical version will screen at Shinjuku's Wald 9 theater and other theaters.

Ushiro kara Hai Yori Tai G, the group composed of the anime's voice actresses who sang the first and second season's opening themes, will perform the new opening theme song "Haiyore Once Nyagain" for the OVA. RAMM will perform the new ending theme "Kitto Engage." The single containing both the opening and ending songs will ship on May 8 for 1,200 yen (about US$9.80). A temporarily titled Best Selection Album will also ship on May 8 for 1,500 yen (US$12.30).

The official website is also streaming a preview of the new opening and ending theme songs, as well as the Best Selection Album.

Xebec animated both the first and second anime series and Tsuyoshi Nagasawa (Kyo no Gononi, MM!, To Love-Ru) directed the series. The series stars Kana Asumi as Nyaruko, Eri Kitamura as Mahiro Yasaka, Miyu Matsuki as Kuko, and Rie Kugimiya as Hasuta. Ryōka Yuzuki also joined the cast as Kune in the second season.

NISA describes the story of the second season:

Mahiro has become accustomed to his protection detail of Nyaruko, Kuko, and Hasuta making his life interesting. Nyaruko starts scheming with Tamao to turn up the charm and sway Mahiro's resolve, while Kuko reconsiders her own stance on love. Things get tricky as the gang deals with a monstrous monkey, an unexpected visitor from Kuko's past, balancing love and duty, and of course, saving the world.

Crunchyroll streamed both the first and second seasons as they aired in Japan. NIS America released the first season last April, and then released the second season in November.

Update: Replaced region-locked Niconico video with Avex Pictures' YouTube video. Thanks, thunderkingnue29.
