Phantasy Star Online 2 Heads to PS4 in 2016

Sega announced during an Arks Festival stage event on Sunday that its online role-playing game Phantasy Star Online 2 (PSO2) will begin service on the PlayStation 4 next year. Sega will host playable demos at Tokyo Game Show 2015 next month, and the convention will also host the PSO2 Hōsō-kyoku Dai-35-kai (PSO2 Broadcasting Station #35) stage event.
Sega revealed that the game's "new revolutionary" episode "Reborn:Episode 4" will also launch in 2016.
As the ninth project of PSO's 15th anniversary, a fan appreciation festival will run in six cities from December 23 to March 21. Sunday's event also debuted the first promotional video for the television anime of PSO2.
Sega released the free-to-play Phantasy Star Online 2 role-playing game for Windows PC in Japan in 2012, followed by a PlayStation Vita release in 2013, and an Android and iOS release in April and May 2014, respectively. The game has more than 3.5 million registered users.
The game inspired the "Phantasy Star Online 2-ON STAGE-" stage play in December 2014.
