Viz's English Shonen Jump to Publish New Boruto Manga, 1-Shot

Viz Media announced on Saturday that it will simultaneously publish Masashi Kishimoto's upcoming 'Boruto' one-shot manga as well as Kishimoto, Mikio Ikemoto, and Ukyō Kodachi's serialized Boruto manga in English in its Weekly Shonen Jump digital magazine.
Ikemoto worked as an assistant under Kishimoto on Naruto, and he will draw the serialized manga. Kishimoto will supervise the manga, and Kodachi (Naruto: Gaara Hiden - Sajingensō novel, Boruto -Naruto the Movie- screenplay cooperation) will write the manga's script. Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine will serialize the manga once a month starting in spring 2016.
Kishimoto is himself penning the spinoff one-shot 'Boruto' manga, which Shueisha will also publish in Weekly Shonen Jump in spring 2016.
Kishimoto ended his main Naruto manga after 15 years of serialization last November. He then wrote the Naruto: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring one-volume sequel manga, and also worked on the script and character designs and served as the chief production supervisor on the Boruto -Naruto the Movie- film sequel. A series of novels continued the story after the manga's end.
Kishimoto attended this year's New York Comic Con event on October 8-11. He confirmed that he is working on plans for his next manga, a science-fiction story.
