NIS Acquires Adventure Game Developer Full On Games

CEO of company behind Fuuraiki, Missing Parts games passed away in February

Nippon Ichi Software announced via press release on Friday that it has acquired adventure game developer Full On Games (FOG). Full On Games is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nippon Ichi Software.

Full On Games, which was founded in 1996, is the developer of the Kuon no Kizuna and Missing Parts series on the PlayStation, PlayStation 2, and Sega Dreamcast systems. The company also developed the Michinoku Hitō Koimonogatari game on PlayStation, Rim Runners for the PlayStation, and its Fuuraiki games appeared on both systems as well as the PS Vita.

Full On Games' president and CEO Noriyuki Munekiyo passed away on February 21.

Nippon Ichi Software is best known for the Disgaea series of games. The company has also developed the La Pucelle: Tactics, Phantom Brave, and The Guided Fate Paradox (Kamisama to Unmei Kakumei no Paradox) games. The company will release Rose to Tasogare no Kojō (Rose and the Old Twilight Castle) for the PS Vita on April 26, and it will release Classic Dungeon Sengoku for the PS Vita on May 26.
