Manga's 3rd and final compiled book volume slated for November 17

Kodansha's "Magazine Pocket" manga app published the final chapter of Kyōta Shibano's Fairy Tail Gaiden: Raigō Issen (Fairy Tail Spinoff: Flash of Great Lightning) spinoff of Hiro Mashima's Fairy Tail manga on September 14. The manga's end also ended the Fairy Tail Gaiden series of spinoff stories.

Fairy Tail Gaiden: Raigō Issen focused on the character Laxus Dreyar. The manga's upcoming compiled volume serves as the third volume in the overall Fairy Tail Gaiden series, and it will ship on November 17.

Shibano launched the Raigō Issen manga on May 4. Shibano previously launched the Fairy Tail Gaiden: Rhodonite spinoff manga in "Magazine Pocket" last November, and ended it on March 30. The manga centered on character Gajeel Redfox. Fairy Tail Gaiden: Rhodonite's one compiled volume serves as the second volume in the overall Fairy Tail Gaiden series, and the compiled volume shipped in Japan on May 17.

Shibano debuted the Fairy Tail Gaiden manga series with the Fairy Tail Gaiden: Kengami no Sōryū (Fairy Tail: Twin Dragons of Sabertooth) manga in the same "Magazine Pocket" app in July 2015 as a part of the app's launch. Kodansha released the manga in one compiled volume in Japan in January. Kodansha Comics will publish the compiled volume in English this December.
