AKB48, BNK48 to Perform at Viral Fest Asia in June

The Viral Fest Asia event revealed on Thursday that the AKB48 idol group, and the Bangkok-based spinoff BNK48, will perform at the event on June 3.
The event will take place at the Show DC in Bangkok, Thailand on June 2-3.
BNK48 recently announced that they will have their debut concert a day earlier on June 2 at The EmQuartier in Bangkok.
The AKB48 group debuted in Tokyo's Akihabara district in December 2005, followed by SKE48 in Nagoya's Sakae in October 2008, NMB48 in Osaka's Namba in January 2011, HKT48 in Fukuoka's Hakata in March 2012, and NGT48 in Niigata prefecture in October 2015. The STU48 domestic sister group based in the Setouchi region is debuting this summer. There is also the "rival" group Nogizaka46.
Aside from BNK48 in Bangkok, Thailand, AKB48 also has sister groups JKT48 in Indonesia's Jakarta, SNH48 in China's Shanghai, MNL48 in the Philippines' Manila, and TPE48 in Taiwan's Taipei.
