Kodansha Comics Licenses Kōsuke Satake's The Witch and the Beast Manga

Kodansha Comics announced new manga licenses for both print and digital at its panel at New York Comic Con on Friday. The company will publish The Witch and the Beast in print in 2020. The company will also digitally publish My Boss's Kitten (October 15 release), 1122: For a Happy Marriage (October 22 release), Guilty (October 29 release), and Our Fake Marriage (November 5).
Kodansha Comics describes Kōsuke Satake's The Witch and the Beast (Majo to Yajū) manga:
Ashaf: a soft-spoken man with delicate features, a coffin strapped to his back, and an entourage of black crows. Guideau: a feral, violent girl with long fangs and the eyes of a beast. This ominous pair appear one day in a town in thrall to a witch — a ruler with magic coursing through her tattooed body, who has convinced the townsfolk she's their hero. But Ashaf and Guideau know better. They live by one creed: “Wherever a witch goes, only curses and disasters follow.” They have scores to settle, and they won't hesitate to remove anyone in their way, be it angry mob or army garrison. Artist Kōsuke Satake makes a suave and explosive manga debut with a story of vengeance set in a stylish, art-deco urban wonderland that's one part Fullmetal Alchemist and one part Cowboy Bebop.
Satake launched the manga in Kodansha's Young Magazine the 3rd in November 2016. Kodansha published the magazine's fifth compiled book volume on September 19.
Kodansha Comics describes Yumi Hisawa's My Boss's Kitten (Buchō no Nyanko) manga:

Kodansha published the manga's fourth volume on April 1.
Kodansha Comics describes Peko Watanabe's 1122: For a Happy Marriage manga:
Wife: Ichiko Aihara. Husband: Otoya Aihara. Married for seven years, they get along well, but sexless and without children, they agree to see other people. Watanabe launched the manga in Kodansha's Morning two magazine in September 2016. Kodansha published the manga's fifth compiled book volume on May 23. The manga was nominated in the 12th Manga Taisho awards earlier this year.
Kodansha Comics describes Ai Okaue's Guilty (Guilty: Nakanu Hotaru ga Mi o Kogasu) manga:
Love. Betrayal. Despair. Love among adults is absurd. Sayaka, age 35, lives with a gentle and perfect husband, but even after ten years of marriage, her husband hasn't been able to suss out her true desire to have a child. Okaue launched the manga on Kodansha's Manga Kingdom website in 2017. Kodansha published the magazine's fifth compiled book volume on August 9.
Kodansha Comics describes Kiui Tokina's Our Fake Marriage (Usokon) manga:
An ordinary girl, Yae, loses her home and job at age 29 and has nowhere to turn. But when she runs into a childhood friend, Takumi, he “proposes” she live with him in a high-rise condominium in the city, acting as his fake spouse … A tale of deceit … involving a handsome architect!
Kodansha published the manga's second compiled book volume on July 12, and will publish the third volume on October 11.
