Netflix Adds Higurashi: When They Cry – GOU 'Season 2,' Cowboy Bebop in India

Company adds Kuroko's Basketball Last Game anime film on November 15

Netflix is listing "season 2" of the Higurashi: When They Cry – GOU television anime for release in India on October 22. The service is also listing the Cowboy Bebop television anime and the Kuroko's Basketball Last Game (Gekijōban Kuroko no Basuke Last Game) anime film for release on October 21 and November 15, respectively.

Ani-One streamed Higurashi: When They Cry – GOU in India as it aired in Japan. Netflix added the anime in India on May 1, and is streaming all 24 episodes of Higurashi: When They Cry – GOU. Higurashi: When They Cry – SOTSU, the follow-up to Higurashi: When They Cry – GOU, premiered in Japan on July 1 and aired for 15 episodes. Ani-One streamed the anime in India as it aired in Japan. Netflix has not confirmed that it will stream Higurashi: When They Cry – SOTSU.

Higurashi: When They Cry – GOU premiered in October 2020. The anime was originally scheduled to premiere in July 2020, but it was delayed due to the effects of the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on the production schedule.

The first Higurashi: When They Cry television anime series aired for 26 episodes in 2006, and the When They Cry II: Solutions (Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni Kai) anime aired for 24 episodes in 2007.

Cowboy Bebop follows the motley crew of the spaceship Bebop as it travels throughout the solar system in search of the next job. The anime inspired Cowboy Bebop: The Movie in 2001. The anime has previously aired on Indian television. The series is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

Netflix announced a 10-episode live-action series adaptation of the anime in November 2018. The company revealed the cast for the project in April 2019. The show will debut on Netflix on November 19.

The Kuroko's Basketball Last Game film opened in Japan in March 2017.

Netflix added the first anime season based on Tadatoshi Fujimaki's Kuroko's Basketball manga in India on January 15.

The first season of the anime aired from April-September 2012. The second season aired from October 2013-March 2014. The third season aired from January-June 2015.

The 30-volume Kuroko's Basketball manga serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 2008-2014. Viz Media publishes the manga in English.

The film is a sequel to the television anime series, taking place after Kuroko and Kagami become second-year students. An American street basketball team called Jabberwock comes to Japan and plays a friendly match with a Japanese team, but after the Japanese team suffers a crushing defeat, the team members of Jabberwock start mocking Japanese basketball. Their comments enrage Riko's father, and so he gathers a team made up of the five members of the Generation of Miracles plus Kuroko and Kagami, called Vorpal Swords, to have a revenge match against Jabberwock.
