Legendary Voice Actor Tohru Furuya to Visit Europe for the First Time in June
The man behind the voices of Amuro Ray (Mobile Suit Gundam), Tuxedo Mask (Sailor Moon) and Casshern (Casshern Sins) will be visiting Finland in the beginning of June as the Guest of Honour of the Desucon convention. Furuya's visit to Desucon will also be his visit to Europe for the very first time. Furuya has previously visited the Anime Expo in Los Angeles.
Desucon is a Finnish convention for enthusiasts of anime, manga, video games and all other aspects of Japanese pop culture. The convention is held in Sibelius Hall Conference Centre, Lahti in 6th and 7th of June 2009. Events featured include cosplay, Artists' Alley, Dealers' Room, Game Corner and video screenings. Desucon is organized by Kehittyvien conien Suomi (KcS), an association promoting Japanese pop culture in Finland.
ABOUT KcS: The KcS association was founded in 2008 to promote Japanese popular culture and improve Finnish anime and manga conventions. Desucon is the first convention organized by KcS.
