Madman Acquires Kill La Kill


Series To Premiere Online ‘Day & Date’ With Japan



Thursday, 19 September 2013: Madman is proud to announce the acquisition of hot new anime series, KILL LA KILL, from Aniplex of America premiering 3rd October on the Madman Screening Room (madman.com.au/screeningroom).

From the creative team behind fan favourite series, GURREN LAGANN, director Hiroyuki Imaishi (DEAD LEAVES, PANTY & STOCKING WITH GARTERBELT), script writer Kazuki Nakashima (RE: CUTIE HONEY, OH! EDO ROCKET) and character designer SUSHIO (ONE PIECE MOVIE 6, PANTY & STOCKING WITH GARTERBELT) have joined forces to form the new animation Studio Trigger to bring fans this highly anticipated new series.

Ryuko Matoi wanders the land armed with a single red Scissor Blade and a single objective, to find and exact vengeance upon the one who wields the matching blade… her father's killer. When she arrives at Honnoji Academy, a high school living in fear of its belligerent student council rulers, Ryuko stands against them in an effort to liberate school their iron grip and find out the truth behind her father's murder.

In a first for Madman Entertainment's Screening Room streaming service, KILL LA KILL will stream online and in simulcast, day and date, with the Japanese TV broadcast on 3rd October, 2013.

Madman is very focused on giving local fans what they want, which is resoundingly the hottest content as soon as possible. KILL LA KILL will also release to home and further digital formats in 2014.
