Minori Suzuki to Simultaneously Release 3rd Album and Sugar Apple Fairy Tale OP Single on January 25

Today, during the 3rd Album Announcement Special streamed on Minori Suzuki's official YouTube channel, it was announced that Minori Suzuki, who will soon celebrate her 5th anniversary as a singer, will release her long-awaited 3rd album fruitful spring on January 25, 2023. It was also announced that she will be singing the opening theme song for the new TV anime Sugar Apple Fairy Tale, which will begin airing in January 2023, and that a single containing the theme song will be released on January 25, the same day as the new album.

The title “fruitful spring” is a play on Minori's name (which means “fruitful” if directly translated) and represents her wish that a fruitful spring awaits us on the 5th anniversary of her singing career and that a spring of ideas will bear more fruit.

The release will come in two formats: a First Run Limited Edition and a Standard Edition. Both editions will include 11 songs. In addition to “Saihate,” “BROKEN IDENTITY,” and “Wherever,” the three anime tie-up songs released after her 2nd album Joumino, the album will include the coupling song “Lip” written by Surii. There will also be 7 new songs, including “My Own Story” with composition by Katsutoshi Kitagawa and lyrics by Maaya Sakamoto, the dream team that also worked on “Crosswalk,” and “Natsu no Bane” written by Yuki Ozaki (Galileo Galilei/BBHF), who recently announced that Galileo Galilei would resume activities.]

Other new songs will be written by Vocaloid producer Iyowa, Ryo Eguchi, Gento Miyano, Shunsuke Takizawa, and Minori Suzuki herself, so please stay tuned for more information.

The First Run Limited Edition will include the music videos for “Saihate,” “BROKEN IDENTITY,” and “My Own Story,” as well as the “fruitful spring documentary” (tentative title), a newly shot video covering Minori Suzuki's five-year career to date and the behind-the-scenes production process for the new album.

In addition to her third album, she will also be releasing “Musical,” the opening theme song of Sugar Apple Fairy Tale, on January 25, 2023. This single will also be available in a First Run Limited Edition and a Standard Edition. The bonus CD that comes with the First Run Limited Edition will include five songs from her recently held birthday event Minoringo Harvest Festival 2022 - Otomechikku ni Otonachikku. The coupling song will be “Kisetsu no Quartet,” provided by ONIGAWA.

Profile

In spring of 2015, at the age of 17, Suzuki auditioned for the new diva role for the TV anime Macross Delta and beat out nearly 8,000 other auditionees. In April of 2016, she officially started her voice actress work, voicing Freyja Wion, one of the heroines of Macross Delta. She is also active as an ace vocalist in the idol group Walküre in the series.

After that, she went on to voice numerous other characters, including Hajime Fujiwara from The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls, Akiho Shinomoto from Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card, Uiui from SHOW BY ROCK!! Mashumairesh!!, Ena Shinonome from Project Sekai: Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku, and Agnes Digital from Uma Musume: Pretty Derby.

In January 2018, she had her solo debut singing “FEELING AROUND,” the opening theme song for the TV anime Ms. Koizumi loves ramen noodles, which got public attention due to Kōji Mihara's (Frederic) contributions to the song. Since then, she has released six singles and two full albums. In January 2023, her 5th anniversary year, she will simultaneously release her 3rd full-length album and the opening theme for the TV anime Sugar Apple Fairy Tale.

Suzuki is currently one of the most powerful voice actress artists in the business. Using her outstanding vocal ability, wide-range of expressions, and striking smile as her weapons, she energizes everyone who watches her perform.
