5 Centimeters Per Second (movie) Masterpiece Movie/3 episodes. Cast includes Johnny Yong Bosch. drama, romance, slice of life. REVIEW: This is such a beautiful movie. The art, the dialogue, the characters, the story...I loved it all. It has a realistic ending, which I appreciate. It's definitely not something you should watch if you're looking for a good laugh. It's sad. Sad but so beautiful. I adored every singe minute of it. SUMMARY: A tale of two people, Tono Takaki and Shinohara Akari, who were close friends but gradually grow farther and farther apart as time moves on. They become separated because of their families yet continue to exchange contact in the form of letters. Yet as time continues to trudge on, their contact with one another begins to cease. Years pass and the rift between them grows ever larger. However, Takaki remembers the times they have shared together, but as life continues to unfold for him, he wonders if he would be given the chance to meet Akari again as the tale embarks on Takaki's realization of the world and people around him.
Angel Beats! (TV) Very good 13 Episodes. Cast includes Blake Shepard, Andrew Love, David Mantragna, Emily Neves, and Brittney Karbowski. action, comedy, drama, fantasy, romance. REVIEW: Before watching this show, I never would have expected it to be so good. And I never would have imagined it to have the story line it had. Holy moly. Tear jerker? For sure. Sad at times, yes. But it was really good. And the ending made me smile. You should definitely see it. SUMMARY: In a world after death, angels fight for their fate and their future. Yuri, the leader of the Shinda Sekai Sensen, rebels against the god who destined her to have an unreasonable life. REVIEW: It was good. Nothing incredible or amazing, but good. It got some good laughs out of me too. I will give it an A+ for such an epic ending. It was quite intense. A little sad, but I thought it was awesome for an ending. SUMMARY: In a distant future, humanity once again is facing the threat of the "Shadow Angels". Mystical creatures who returned after 12.000 years of absence. They attack human cities and kidnap their inhabitants in order to drain their "prana" (vital energy). To fight against them, youngsters with special powers from arround the world were gathered and trained to pilot the "vector machines", three ancient ships that together form mankind's ultimate weapon, "Aquarion". The story revolves mainly arround Apollo, a teenager rumored as the reencarnation of Apolonius, a fallen angel who fought against his own kind to protect mankind. J Michael Tatum, Colleen Clinkenbeard, Luci Christian, Christopher R Sabat, Jerry Jewell, Todd Haberkorn, Carrie Savage, Travis Willingham, Kent Williams, and Monica Rial. action, adventure, comedy, drama, fantasy, supernatural. REVIEW: Black Blood Brothers was a pretty good show for only 12 episodes. As always, it could have been longer. I really loved the main character Jiro, a kick ass, charming vampire called the Silver Blade. His little brother Kotaru was precious and they were a comic pair together. The lead girl Mimiko was a smash as well. The character development was fast and it made sense. The fight scenes were awesome and the dialogue was witty. The only disappointing thing about Black Blood Brothers was the ending. The bad guys got away. I wonder if they'll make a sequel. Summary: Ten years after the Holy War in Hong Kong, Mochizuki Jirou, aka the Silver Blade, and the lone hero who fought and defeated the Kowloon Children despite the loss of his lover, returns to Japan with his young brother, Mochizuki Kotaro. The two quickly discover that the Kowloon Children who survived the Holy War are seeking to infiltrate the “Special Zone”—a thriving city protected by an invisible barrier that will not allow Kowloon Children entrance—unless they’re invited. Red Bloods refer to the humans; Black Bloods are the vampires, and the Mochizuki Brothers are Old Blood—the last descendants of an elite clan of vampires. Black Butler (TV) Excellent 24 Episodes. Cast includes J Michael Tatum, Brina Palencia, Colleen Clinkenbeard, Jason Liebrecht, Jerry Jewell, John Swasey, and Monica Rial. comedy, mystery, supernatural. REVIEW: Black Butler was one brilliant show. I loved every second of it. I cannot wait until the sequel comes out in english dub. You will come to love Ciel Phantomhive and his dark and classy (can I add sexy?) butler Sebastian. Oh, and don't forget the rest of the crazy characters that surround them. From demons, to soul reapers, to angels, this anime seems to have it all. The dialogue is humorous and the action is kick ass. It'll have you guessing until the end. Summary: One of the noble families of England - Phantomhive, has a butler, Sebastian Michaels. He has unquestionably perfect knowledge, manners, talent with materials. martial arts and much more. But for some reason, he serves a 12 year old master...
Bleach the Movie: Memories of Nobody Very good Movie. (See Bleach for cast details) REVIEW: This was the first Bleach movie that came out and it had a really good story. It had a sad but good ending as well. It's not my favorite of the Bleach movies, but it's still super awesome. SUMMARY: In Karakura Town, there has been a sudden outbreak of unidentifiable spirits called "blanks" (vacant souls) while in the skies of Soul Society, the real world has been reflected. A mysterious female shinigami called Senna has appeared before Ichigo along with a man named Ganryu, leading a group called the "Dark Ones".
Bleach: The DiamondDust Rebellion (movie 2) Very good Movie. (See Bleach for cast details). REVIEW: An excellent movie. This is movie 2 in the Bleach world. The focus this time is on Toshiro Hitsugaya and in this movie we learn a little bit more about him and his past. It was sad in ways and epic in others. And as always, the music was just incredible. I like this one better than the first movie, but they are both really good in their own ways. SUMMARY: A valuable artifact known as "King's Seal" is stolen by a mysterious group of people during transport in Soul Society. Hitsugaya Toushiro, the 10th division captain of Gotei 13, who is assigned to transport the seal fights the leader of the group and shortly after goes missing. After the incident, Seireitei declares Hitsugaya a traitor and orders the capture and execution of Hitsugaya. Meanwhile, a rogue Hitsugaya searches for the perpetrators and uncovers a dark secret regarding a long dead shinigami.
Blood+ (TV) Good 50 Episodes. Cast includes Crispin Freeman, Kari Wahlgren (Fuu in Samurai Champloo), Ben Diskin (Sai in Naruto Shippuden), Dave Wittenberg, David Rasner (Kaname Tousen in Bleach), Quinton Flynn (Kon in Bleach, Iruka Umino in Naruto/Shippuden), and Wally Wingert. action, drama, horror, mystery, romance, supernatural. REVIEW: This was a rough anime to watch. Super sad and difficult. At the end of the day, it was good, but from what I've heard about the manga, it could have been so much better. They should have kept it like the manga. The character development was excellent. You fall in love with Hagi and Kai and just adore Saya and Riku. I loved little Riku. Diva is a crazy bitch you will love to hate. The action is crazy good and the story line is just insane. As I said, it could have been so much better and a lot less depressing if they stuck to the manga story line. SUMMARY: Throughout the passage of time and the shifts in backgrounds, a particular war continues to leave its mark on history, extending its influence into the modern world. There are two major groups involved in the ensuring war. The first group consists of monsters known as Chiropterans who can change their appearances into that of human beings. However, her happy life will be destroyed by an event that will lead her to her destined fate.
Brave Story (movie) Good REVIEW: This was a cute movie full of adventure. Even though it was easy to predict what would happen, it was still good. It kind of had a Miyazaki feel to it which I can definitely appreciate. The characters were cute and fun, and it had a great ending that would make anyone smile and walk away happy. It also has a great message that everyone can relate to. :) SUMMARY: When 11 year old Wataru's father leaves home and his mother is taken ill to hospital, he decides to change his fate by travelling through the door shown to him by his friend Mitsuru. In a land of magic and monsters, Wataru must summon all his courage and embark on a journey with several comrades to meet the Goddess of Destiny and change this "mistaken fate".
Castle in the Sky (movie) Masterpiece By Hayao Miyazaki. REVIEW: This movie is so wonderful. It kind of has the same feel as Last Exile with the steampunk theme. You will go on a fun and crazy adventure with Sheeta and Pazu and discover the magical floating city of Laputa. There's bad guys, mystical creatures, and silly pirates. The art and music are incredible, which wasn't a surprise since it did come from Studio Ghibli. SUMMARY: A girl named Sheeta falls out of the sky and lands in Pazu's arms. Soon after a gang of air pirates led by Dola, as well as a mysterious man named Muska, are on their tails. The chase leads them to a floating castle that once belonged to an ancient race of people.
(The) Cat Returns (movie) Very good Studio Ghibli. REVIEW: At first, I was a little skeptical to watch this because Miyazaki was only a producer and not the director. But I really liked it. The Cat Returns is such a fun and weird movie. I never thought I would enjoy a movie so much where the girl turns into a cat and has to go to some Cat Kingdom to get changed back. But I did! I loved the Baron. He was charming and classy. The rest of the characters cracked me up too. It was a great movie. SUMMARY: Haru-chan, a normal girl in a normal town, saves a strange cat carrying a present from being overrun by a truck. In return she's going to receive lots of favors, including marriage to the crown prince of Cat Kingdom. As she finds that a bit too much, she gets into contact with the Cat Business Office. Together with CBO's owner, the Baron, she enters the Cat Kingdom to try and prevent her marriage.

Angel, Kaoru Hitachiin in Ouran High School Host Club). comedy, drama, romance REVIEW: Ugh, this movie is so freaking sad. I was not prepared for it at all. Honestly, if I would have known it was so sad, I probably wouldn't have watched it. I cried like a little baby. But I gave it a high rating because even though it broke my heart, it was so good. The ending is so powerful. It still left me super depressed after watching. And I still prefer the show over the movie. ;) SUMMARY: Okazaki Tomoya is a student who goes to school only as a force of habit. He continues to be plagued by nightmares of a world with nothing left, where his existence is a mere conciousness. REVIEW: Such a crazy show. So much happens. Talk about world domination! Lelouche is brilliant. Suzaku is passionate. Both want the same thing but have complete opposite views of getting there. They're best friends and secretly mortal enemies. This show kind of makes you choose sides like with Death Note. It was an incredible ride. It had some devistating circumstances and some super sad parts, but it was still so cool. And the ending rocked my face. The ending wasn't as awesome as I wanted it to be, but it was still good. Dark was super funny, Daisuke was so sweet, and Riku was cute. Risa annoyed the hell out of me until the last couple of episodes. It's definitely a cute romance. SUMMARY: Niwa Daisuke is your average teenager, until his fourteenth birthday. My Neighbor Totoro (movie) Masterpiece Hayao Miyazaki. REVIEW: CUTEST MOVIE EVER!! Holy Death Star, this movie is just so freaking cute!!! Totoro is cute, the little girls are cute, the story is cute...it's just all so cute!! You will fall in love with this movie. I laughed and smiled basically the whole time. I wish it was around when I was a kid. All I know is that my kids will definitely grow up with this movie. :D SUMMARY: Two young girls, Mei and Satsuki, move into a new home that is close to the hospital that their mother is in. In their yard is an extremely large tree which is home to three Totoros, gods of the forest. Soon after, news from the hospital comes up that their mother can't come home as promised, so Mei (the younger daughter) runs away from home to visit her mom. Satsuki then needs to turn to Totoro for help in finding her sister.
Naruto (TV) Good REVIEW: Haha, Naruto. I hated this show the first episode. I didn't want to continue after it. I thought Naruto was the most annoying character ever created and I did not like him. But what's super cool about this show, is just like the other characters in it, Naruto grows on you. It's weird, but I think the creators did it on purpose. This show is silly. And the music is good and the fights are pretty legit. The reason it only got a good from me is because of all of the fillers. Other than that, it was awesome. SUMMARY: Naruto closely follows the life of a boy who is feared and detested by the villagers of the hidden leaf village of Konoha. The distrust of the boy has little to do with the boy himself, but it’s what’s inside him that causes anxiety. Long before Naruto came to be, a Kyuubi (demon fox) with great fury and power waged war taking many lives. The battle ensued for a long time until a man known as the Fourth Hokage, Yondaime, the strongest ninja in Konoha, fiercely fought the Kyuubi. The fight was soon won by Yondaime as he sealed the evil demon in a human body. Thus the boy, Naruto, was born. As Naruto grows he decides to become the strongest ninja in Konoha in an effort to show everyone that he is not as they perceive him to be, but is a human being worthy of love and admiration. But the road to becoming Hokage, the title for the strongest ninja in Konoha, is a long and arduous one. It is a path filled with betrayal, pain, and loss; but with hard work, Naruto may achieve Hokage.
Naruto Shippūden (movie) Very good SUMMARY: Demons that once almost destroyed the world, are revived by someone. To prevent the world from being destroyed, the demon has to be sealed and the only one who can do it is the shrine maiden Shion from the country of demons, who has two powers; one is sealing demons and the other is predicting the deaths of humans. This time Naruto's mission is to guard Shion, but she predicts Naruto's death. The only way to escape it, is to get away from Shion, which would leave her unguarded, then the demon, whose only goal is to kill Shion will do so, thus meaning the end of the world. Naruto decides to challenge this "prediction of death."

Tales from Earthsea (movie) Good Movie. adventure, drama, fantasy. REVIEW: I think this is the first movie Goro Miyazaki (Hayao Miyazaki's son) directed. He's been a part of many movies his father has done though. It was good. A little hard to follow at first, but good. You can definitely tell it wasn't Hayao's vision though. Goro's style is a little different from his fathers. But the animation and music were incredible as always. If you're a Miyazaki move fan you should still check this one out even though it definitely doesn't compare to Hayao's movies. SUMMARY: Something bizarre has come over the land. The kingdom is deteriorating. People are beginning to act strange... What's even more strange is that people are beginning to see dragons, which shouldn't enter the world of humans. Due to all these bizarre events, Ged, a wandering wizard, is investigating the cause. During his journey, he meets Prince Arren, a young distraught teenage boy. While Arren may look like a shy young teen, he has a severe dark side, which grants him strength, hatred, ruthlessness and has no mercy, especially when it comes to protecting Teru. For the witch Kumo this is a perfect opportunity. She can use the boy's "fears" against the very one who would help him, Ged.
Trigun (TV) Excellent 26 Episodes. Cast includes Johnny Yong Bosch, Dorothy Elias, Richard Cansino, Bridget Hoffman (Ryoko Asakura in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzimiya), Bryce Papenbrook (Hanabusa in Vampire Knight/Guilty), and David Mallow. action, comedy, drama, science fiction. REVIEW: FREAKING CLASSIC! Trigun is one of those rare shows that you can never get sick of. I do wish it was longer though. Vash is one of my favorite anime characters of all time. He is just so wonderful. And all of the crazy gun fights are crazy awesome! You can't help but love the characters, the story, the whole shabang. Don't miss Trigun. You'll regret it. SUMMARY: Vash the Stampede is a gunman on the run with a 60 billion double dollar bounty on his head which has made it difficult for him to go anywhere without being chased and shot at. Every town he ever visits ends up being destroyed because of his pursuers, but miraculously no one ever gets killed. Meryl and Milly are two insurance agents that have been sent to find Vash the Stampede and keep him under surveillance so no more damage is caused. Meryl, who leads the pair, refuses to believe that the man they have met can possibly be the legendary gunman. This spikey haired, gangly, young man is extremely friendly, a pacifist, hates blood and suicide, absolutely loves donuts, and is a dork and a crybaby (far from a notorious outlaw). But there is more to Vash and his past than meets the eye.
