Kimagura Orange Road Box delayed

AnimEigo has delayed the Kimagura Orange road box set due to a flaw detected on a check disc.

Dear Kimagure Orange Road Preorderer,
AnimEigo has always prided itself on releasing quality products. Thus, the production department has been diligently verifying Kimagure Orange Road check discs from our replicator. Unfortunately, a flaw has been discovered on one of these discs, which we believe to have been caused by a problem on the actual glass stamping master. To avoid playback problems, we have requested that the replicator create a new glass master, and we will of course have to check discs created by this new new master in order to ensure that the problem has been corrected. Unfortunately, this process takes time.
Therefore, AnimEigo must regretfuly revise the release date for Kimagure Orange Road's 12 disc box set.
The new release date is Friday, June 14, 2002.
This is of course very disappointing, but given the choice between delaying and getting it right, and releasing a product that doesn't work right, there's no real choice at all. We are working closely with the replicator to try and speed up the process, and may be able to get it out a little faster. We'll keep you updated as the situation develops.
