Gonzo Rosso Online Game Company Renamed as Rosso Index

The online game company Gonzo Rosso will be renamed as Rosso Index on February 1. GDH, the former parent companies of both Gonzo Rosso and the Gonzo anime studio, had decided to divested itself of Gonzo Rosso last March. Atlus, the game subsidiary of Index Holdings, then announced in October that it would acquire 54.6% of Gonzo Rosso for 460 milllion yen (about US$5.1 million). Index Holdings is also the parent company of the Madhouse anime studio (Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Highlander: Vengeance) and the computer-graphics production company Dynamo Pictures (One Piece: Omatsuri Danshaku to Himitsu no Shima, Yona Yona Penguin).
Despite the fact that the two companies will no longer have direct corporate ties, Gonzo animated last year's promotional movie for Gonzo Rosso's Arcadia Saga online role-playing game. It also reassembled its animation team from The Tower of Druaga: The Aegis of Uruk anime and its The Tower of Druaga: the Sword of Uruk sequel for this year's new opening movie of The Tower of Druaga –The Recovery of BABYLIM– fantasy massively multi-player online role-playing game.
