Wolf Girl & Black Prince Manga to Bundle Unaired Anime on DVD

posted on by Egan Loo
Original anime to adapt chapter from Ayuko Hatta's shōjo manga

The December issue of Shueisha's Bessatsu Margaret magazine is announcing on Thursday that Ayuko Hatta's 12th Wolf Girl & Black Prince (Ōkami Shōjo to Kuro Ōji) manga will bundle an original anime DVD on April 24, 2015. The anime on the DVD will adapt a popular manga chapter that is not airing in the ongoing television anime. The bundle will also include an exclusive calendar illustrated by Hatta.

The original shōjo manga centers around Erika Shinohara, a vain 16-year-old girl who tells her friends about her romantic exploits, but she actually has no boyfriend. She claims that a handsome boy in a candid photo is her boyfriend, but it turns out that boy is a schoolmate named Kyōya Sata. She has no choice but to make him her fake boyfriend. Unfortunately, Sata may look like a sweet person, but he is actually an ultra-black-hearted sadist. Sata takes advantage of Erika's weakness and treats her like his dog.

Kanae Itō plays Erika Shinohara in the anime, while Takahiro Sakurai plays Kyōya Sata. Kenichi Kasaiis directing the anime at TYO Animations from scripts by Sawako Hirabayashi with series composition by Sawako Hirabayashi. Maki Fujioka is designing the characters, and Go Sakabe is composing the soundtrack for the series. Crunchyroll is streaming the television series as it airs in Japan, and Sentai Filmworks licensed it for North America.
