2nd Live-Action Parasyte Film's Teaser Hints at Story's Finale

Final film based on Hitoshi Iwaaki's sci-fi manga to open on April 25

TOHO began streaming a teaser trailer for Kiseijū Kanketsu-hen, the second and final part of the Parasyte (Kiseijū) movie series. The teaser announces that the film will be released in Japan on April 25, 2015.

Narrator: The story of the number one hit movie Parasyte is finally comes to a close!
Text: The shocking finale
Man: It's the humans that are the parasites that eat up the Earth!
Shinichi: There's something I want to protect...
Text: It all ends.
Man: This is the end.
Woman: This is goodbye.
Shinichi: Migi!!
Narrator: From Takashi Yamazaki, director of The Eternal Zero... The great entertainment film!
Narrator: Parasyte
Migi: I'm glad I didn't steal your brain... when I met you.

The film series is based on Hitoshi Iwaaki's Parasyte manga. It takes place in a world where alien beings called Parasites come to Earth and start taking over humans by entering in through their noses and ears and attaching themselves to their brains. One alien called Migi is only able to take over high school student Shinichi Izumi's right arm, and is unable to control Shinichi completely. Migi and Shinichi learn to co-exist, and the two battle other Parasites who see humans only as food. The films are directed by Takashi Yamazaki (live action Space Battleship Yamato, Always: Sunset on Third Street).

The first movie held the top opening weekend box office for the first weekend of December, earning 340 million yen (about US$2.85 million).
