Convention adds Alisa Takigawa, motsu x DJ Kaya as musical guests

Southeast Asian convention Anime Festival Asia (AFA) announced on Thursday that singer Eir Aoi has cancelled her appearance at the convention's Indonesia event due to her recent health condition. The singer is currently on hiatus, and had cancelled her earlier appearance at AFA Thailand last month, along with two other performances that month, and her Animax Musix 2017 appearance in January.

The convention has also revised its lineup, adding Alisa Takigawa and motsu x DJ Kaya as new musical guests.

Takigawa made her major debut with her single "Season," which shipped in March 2015. The title track was used as the second ending theme song for The Seven Deadly Sins television anime. Her third single, "Sayonara no Yukue," debuted last November, with the title track used as the ending theme song for the Owarimonogatari anime. Her fifth and latest single, "Iroasenai Hitomi," also serves as the ending theme song for the currently airing The Seven Deadly Sins -Signs of Holy War- television anime special.

motsu and DJ Kaya commonly collaborate for anime events, and have made multiple appearances at Anime Festival Asia. The pair have held concerts in Sweden, Singapore, Brazil, and Peru. motsu wrote the lyrics for the "¡WAKE YOUR LOVE!" and "BURNING DANCE" songs for the Asobotto Senki Gokū anime, and performed the "I'll believe" and "One" ending theme songs for the Shakugan no Shana III (Final) anime as part of the band ALTIMA.

Other convention guests include voice actresses Yōhei Azakami, Chika Anzai, Atsumi Tanezaki, and Nozomi Furuki, and design advisor Takaaki Suzuki. The musical acts for the Indonesia convention include Aimer, Bless4, ELISA, Lia, Livetune+, Maaya Uchida, and Nano. AFA Indonesia will take place on September 16-18 at the Jakarta International Expo.
