Voice actress and singer Megumi Nakajima and the Flying Dog music agency announced on Thursday that Nakajima is returning from a nearly three-year hiatus to continue her musical activities. She is slated to perform the ending theme song "Watashi no Sekai" (My World) for the upcoming Fūka television anime series, which premieres on January 6. Her single for the song will ship on February 15. Nakajima will additionally host a free live concert in Odaiba in Tokyo on December 11.

Nakajima had announced in December 2013 that she would go on indefinite hiatus from her music career starting in March 2014. Nakajima still continued her voice acting activities during her musical hiatus.

Nakajima is best known for her breakout role of Ranka Lee after winning a nationwide singing and acting audition for the Macross Frontier anime. She also performed the theme songs for both seasons of Lagrange - The Flower of Rin-ne and voiced the character Grania. She played the part of Altene "Lene" in the series Busou Shinki.

Nakajima also sang and acted in Basquash!, Croisée in a Foreign Labyrinth - The Animation, Kämpfer, Kobato., and Tamayura. She was tapped to lend her singing voice to the Vocaloid GUMI, the mascot character for Megpoid's singing synthesizer. She appeared and performed at Anime Expo 2010 and Hawaii Entertainment Expo 2012.
