Live Action Film in Production Stars Leading Anime Voice Actors

Los Angeles, CA – March 8, 2011 – Ever wanted to see your favorite Japanese anime voice actors on the big screen? Stephen Weese, writer/producer, is planning on making that happen. Broken Spirits is a sci-fi thriller starring Vic Mignogna (Fullmetal Alchemist), Richard Epcar (Ghost in the Shell), Spike Spencer (Neon Genesis Evangelion), and Cristina Vee (K-ON!)

Set in modern times, this story pits four adventure-seeking youths against evil spirits eager to steal their bodies and cross over into the material world, escaping their empty plane of existence. The idea for this film came about when Weese, also a budding voice actor, realized that many of his associates in the field also had a desire to be in film and many had on-camera experience. A few phone calls and emails later, the first cast members were on board.

Shooting is set to begin in May, and other prominent voice talent may also take part, such as Kyle Hebert (Dragon Ball Z.) “We're trying to make something that the fans can treasure,” Weese said. “I've been a fan of anime and voice actors since I was a kid. This is going to be a great experience and an exciting film.” More information can be found about the film at www.brokenspiritsfilm.com .
