Does anyone know if the Maison Ikkoku manga reprintings will include the lost chapters of Godai studying for his exams? They were in Animerica Extra and never released in a manga.

Yes, the re-release will include the lost chapters. When finished it'll span 15 books instead of the 14 in the "old edition".

hmm... which volumes will that be?
I ask, since I have the 14 volumes, and would ONLY like to buy the "missing" portions from the currently.

I spoke to someone at Viz recently (at AX) and they weren't sure if the new re-printing would include the previously unpublished chapters in a single volume, or if they'd be re-insterted where they belonged.
Obviously there are pros and cons to each side. Having them in a seperate volume would make purchasing them much easier for those of us thathave already invested $200 in the entire series.... but then they would unfortunately be out of place.
The new releases will also be unflipped BTW.
However, the person (persons actually) weren't directly involved in the publication of Maison Ikkoku.

Thanks for the info, tempest.
Someone just told me that viz has been known to remove chapters they feel are "redundant".
And that this happened in earlier releases.
What does this mean for Maisson Ikkoku and Ranma??

Yet another one that also shares the concern with Woo who has bought the entire set. I have not read anything from Animerica Extra before...
