Romcoms are currently the best genre in anime.

There I said it!

I do not believe that this is an unpopular anime opinion!

It was like 3 months ago when everyone was excited about JJK2 and Hells Paradise but yeah the tide is turning fast.

Yet every possible Isekai with every ridiculous plot and title still is green lit for anime adaptations. The tide isn't turning near enough.

True. Some of the stuff getting sequels boggles my mind, while other shows have been left in limbo forever without any love.

I still wait for a Btoom season 2 or a Chivalry of a Failed Knight Season 2...but not.

Instead i get Dufus Revenge fantasy against the girl who dumped him (Forget the name), okay thats supposed to be romcom, 'm sure we'll get Cheat Skill season 2. Smart Phone season 3 (god save us all). or shows about being slimes spiders swords vending machines...

I like FMA when I was younger, I don’t care for it that much as I got older. I feel like I don’t like it as much when I go back to it. It's like reading a novel in Middle or High School and discovering that it's not as profound and adult as you remember since you've seen or read more mature things since.

Digimon Xros Wars should have had more seasons/sequels. Plus, Young Hunters... should've been dubbed!!

I agree, but isn't there a reason for that?Smile

The voice acting and pop soundtrack were the saving graces of the dub.

I'm somewhat with you in that I watched and read FMA:B over 10 years ago, but tried watching the original 2003 FMA this year and really didn't like it so I dropped. But I didn't like both the original content and the actual manga adaptation parts, so who knows how I'd feel on a rewatch of FMA:B or a reread of the manga

I like shonen anime tournament arcs and I don't really get the hate for them.

I really enjoy the Sorcerous Stabber Orphen remake and really want seasons 3 & 4 to get an English dub for David Matranga.

Anime adaptions should do some changes and follow things differently. Otherwise, it would be boring if it was 100% the same as the source material.

Okay, this is my big "Okay Boomer" moment, but Crunchyroll buying and phasing out Rightstuf was the worst thing that's ever happened to me as an anime collector. They tax the eff out of everything and you can't even do the (incredibly helpful) Pay in 4 at checkout! This is deeply upsetting to me..

Um... how does that qualify as an "unpopular" anime opinion? I don't think I've seen a single person say anything positive about Crunchy taking over TRSI.
